![]() Funny thing is that he was not ever walking. ![]() He would pop onto the screen with me as I walked to Porto Vallum to complete it. As soon as I would go to complete the quest the merchant would follow me. Every time I tried the merchant would not stay put on the haven isle. Today while playing on a server by myself I tried several times to get this trick to work using two pc's. As it turns out I believe it is necessary to use a horse. Eventually we got things worked out but it took much longer than this guide shows. During the last Kamikaze we attempted to set up the Haven shops and ran into some complications. Can't think of any at the moment but no doubt there are many more tricks to be found!Ī little update to this guide. There's got to be some other similar situations where this could be done. I think the important thing here is that you touch the ground as little as possible. Note that this trick must be done with a horse! Use a horse to travel everywhere. You might need to push your F11 key to make the video more visible btw.Įnjoy guys and don't fight over the merchant now. The video shows an rough example of both what the first player and the second player experience at the same time in order to complete the process of having a merchant follow a character. You can do this while partied as you will see in the video. In which case the merchant will only follow the second player. If you want the merchant to follow then accept. So if you want to plant the merchant somewhere then the second player must reject the quest. Cheers to you tomi! That was supremely excellent! We could buy and sell items with the merchant in tow. And that's when it all got very interesting! The merchant followed tomi but was also actively behaving as any merchant. tomi was the second player in the scenario and when his final turn came he chose to accept the quest. Now something that was a very cool surprise is that during our last Kamikaze this next bit was discovered. The merchant will remain in the place the second player was holding him. ![]() After you, first player, have collected your reward the second character should reject the quest. You'll see that he has a ! above his head which means the quest is complete and you can collect your reward. Once you have walked over to the spot return to where the merchant is being held. It's a blue book like any other quest which you can see from your mini map by pushing the tab key. ![]() All that is needed to complete the quest is to walk over to the area he tells you to go. The second player should leave the dialogue box open in order to force the merchant to stay where he is standing while the first player, you, goes to complete the quest. The second player will see the dialgue box open up asking the second player to accept his quest. Once you have the merchant following you you'll need a second player to talk to the merchant. The Merchant is found in a cave south of the portal of Porto Vallum. Basically what you do is begin the "Hidden Merchant" quest. That's right kids! You read correctly!īelow is a video example of how this is done. Place a merchant anywhere of your choosing in the Sacred Underworld map or allow you to have a merchant follow you anywhere you go. No doubt there can be many fun and beneficial things that can be done with this! That oh so fun lil trick to have your very own personal merchant escort. ![]()
